Moja Biblioteka

Last updated: 9 October 2026

This Privacy Policy explains how the mobile application Moja Biblioteka ("the App") accesses, uses, stores, processes, and shares information.

The App is designed primarily as a local-first personal library application. Most information entered by the user is stored directly on the user's device.

1. Developer

Moja Biblioteka is developed and maintained by Kamil Pietka.

For privacy-related questions, users may contact the developer using the contact information provided on the application's Google Play Store listing.

2. Information Stored on the Device

The App may store information related to the user's personal library, including:

This information is stored locally on the user's device unless a feature explicitly requires communication with an external service.

The developer does not have access to locally stored library data unless the user voluntarily provides that information, for example when contacting support.

3. Camera Permission

The App may request permission to access the device camera in order to scan ISBN barcodes or QR codes.

Camera access is used only when the user activates a scanning feature. The App does not intentionally store, upload, sell, or share camera images for advertising or tracking purposes.

Users may deny or revoke camera permission through their device settings. Core library functionality that does not require scanning may continue to work without camera access.

4. Book Metadata and External Services

The App may communicate with third-party book-information services, such as Open Library, to retrieve information about books.

When this functionality is used, the App may send information such as an ISBN number or book search query to the external service.

External services may also receive standard technical information associated with internet requests, such as the user's IP address, according to their own privacy policies and technical practices.

5. Personal and Sensitive User Data

The App does not intentionally collect or sell sensitive personal data such as:

The App uses third-party advertising services that may support personalized or non-personalized advertising depending on the user's region, consent choices, device settings, age settings, and applicable law.

6. Data Sharing

The developer does not sell user data.

Information may be transmitted to third-party services when necessary to provide App functionality. This includes book metadata providers and Google AdMob for advertising.

Google AdMob may receive technical and usage information required for ad delivery, measurement, analytics, fraud prevention, reporting, frequency capping, and related advertising functionality.

7. Advertising, Consent, and Measurement

Moja Biblioteka displays advertisements using Google AdMob, an advertising service provided by Google.

The Google Mobile Ads SDK may collect and process technical and usage information for advertising, analytics, fraud prevention, reporting, frequency capping, and measurement purposes.

Depending on the user's device, region, consent choices, and advertising settings, this information may include:

This information may be collected, processed, or shared by Google in accordance with Google's applicable privacy policies, advertising terms, and legal obligations.

Advertisements may be personalized or non-personalized depending on the user's location, consent choices, age settings, device settings, and applicable law.

Where required by law, including for users in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom, and Switzerland, Moja Biblioteka requests consent before using personal data or device storage for personalized advertising and related advertising technologies.

Where available, users can review or change their advertising privacy choices through privacy controls provided within the App.

More information about how Google handles data is available in Google's Privacy Policy and advertising privacy documentation:

8. Data Security

The developer takes reasonable measures to protect information handled by the App.

Network communication is intended to use secure HTTPS connections where supported by the relevant external service.

Because most application data is stored locally, users are also responsible for securing access to their device and maintaining appropriate device security settings.

9. Data Retention and Deletion

Information stored locally by the App remains on the user's device until the user removes it.

Depending on the device and operating system, local application data may be deleted by:

Information processed by Google AdMob is retained and deleted according to Google's own privacy and data-retention policies.

If future versions of Moja Biblioteka introduce user accounts, cloud synchronization, or server-side storage, this Privacy Policy will be updated to explain account deletion, server-side retention, and deletion procedures.

10. Children's Privacy

Moja Biblioteka is not specifically designed to collect personal information from children.

The developer does not knowingly collect personal information from children through the App.

Advertising behavior may also depend on age-related settings, applicable laws, and Google advertising requirements.
